Mora's briefings

Mora writes three things for you. They cover different ground and are updated at different times.

None of these is ever shown to the people you manage.

Mora’s briefing

A short summary of what’s happened with one report: goal progress, whether their 1:1s are on schedule, and what came out of recent conversations.

It’s on that person’s page, on the Overview tab. Their card on the Team page shows a New briefing label when there’s one you haven’t read, and it also appears in the notification bell. Opening their page marks it as read.

Below the briefing is a line showing who wrote it, how often it’s rewritten, and the date of the one you’re reading.

If a briefing wasn’t written — you were away, or you turned briefings on partway through the week — Mora fills it in rather than waiting for the next Monday. The date below it tells you which week it covers.

Change how often you get them

Go to Settings → Mora’s briefings:

Your week

A summary across your whole team: what’s on your calendar this week, which goals need attention, and anyone you haven’t met with recently. It’s on the Today page, beside the calendar, written as a letter to you.

It’s written for Monday morning. If you miss a Monday, it’s filled in when you next open the app, and it says when it was written.

Mora’s read

A description of how you and one person work together: where things stand, how they work, recurring themes, and what to keep an eye on.

The first line appears on that person’s Overview tab. The whole thing is on the Mora’s read tab. It’s rebuilt every time you wrap up a 1:1 with them.

This is the difference between the two: the briefing covers what happened recently and is rewritten weekly. The read describes what the person is like to work with and is rebuilt after each 1:1. A new report shows No read yet until there’s enough to write about.

Where these come from

All three are written from your notes, your goals, and your reports’ check-in answers. About privacy

On a new account, with no notes and no completed 1:1s, briefings will be short or absent. Run two or three 1:1s and wrap them up, and they fill in.
