Run your first 1:1

This is the whole loop, once, end to end. About five minutes of reading; the real thing takes as long as your 1:1 does.

Twenty-four hours before the meeting, Meetmora emails your report a private link with four questions. You don’t have to do anything — it’s automatic for every 1:1 you schedule.

If your first 1:1 is sooner than 24 hours away, you can send the link yourself from the meeting’s Prep page, under Pre-meeting check-in.

From Today, click the upcoming 1:1. The Prep page holds everything for that meeting:

  • Last 1:1 — Mora’s recap of your previous conversation with this person (empty the first time; it appears from the second meeting on)
  • Suggested for this 1:1 — Mora’s picks, drawn from recent notes, past agendas, and open goals. Click Add to move one into your agenda.
  • Agenda — what you’ll actually cover. Add your own items here too.
  • Notes — free-form, private to you
  • Pre-meeting check-in — the link, its status, and their answers once they reply

Add a few items. Two or three is plenty for a first 1:1. Mora’s suggestions arrive as quoted prompts — accept them, reword them, or ignore them.

You’ll answer each agenda item during the meeting, so phrase them as things to talk about, not as tasks.

Click Start meeting on the Prep page. That drops you into meeting mode — a focused screen with:

  • Your agenda, one item at a time. Answer each as you go; tap a question to collapse it once you’ve covered it.
  • Free-form notes for anything off the agenda
  • What’s on their mind — their check-in answers, right there beside you

Notes save as you type. Nothing here is ever shown to your report.

When you’re done, click Exit meeting. The wrap-up asks three things:

  1. Review the goals you touched — update progress, close one out, or add a new one
  2. How it landed — Good, Okay, or Tough. One click. It’s for your own pattern recognition over time, not a rating of the person.
  3. Next 1:1’s agenda — Mora drafts it from what just happened. Edit it, then click Finish.

That draft agenda is waiting on the next meeting’s Prep page, so your second 1:1 starts warm.

  • Mora writes a short recap of the meeting, shown on the next 1:1’s Prep page
  • Mora refreshes its read on the working relationship for that person
  • The next meeting in the cadence appears on your calendar and on Today
  • Twenty-four hours before it, the next check-in goes out automatically

Once a meeting is in the past you can read its agenda and notes, but not change them. Write what you need to while the meeting is still open.

There is a Reset button on meetings you’ve already run. It puts the meeting back to scheduled so you can run it again — but it clears the notes and the “how it landed” read, and it can’t be undone. Use it when a meeting was started by mistake, not to fix a typo.
