Connecting Google Calendar
When you connect Google Calendar, Mora creates and updates calendar events automatically as you schedule 1:1 meetings. Each event includes a Google Meet link, so you and your direct report can join the video call without any manual setup.
How to connect
- Go to Settings → Calendar
- Click Connect Google Calendar
- Sign in with the Google account that owns the calendar you use for work meetings
- Grant Mora the requested permissions — these are needed to create, update, and delete events on your behalf
Once connected, your Google Calendar status changes to “Connected” in Settings.
What Mora does with calendar access
Mora uses your Google Calendar access to:
- Create events — when you schedule a new 1:1, a calendar event is created with your direct report’s email as an attendee and a Google Meet link attached
- Update events — if you reschedule a meeting (change the date or time), the calendar event is updated automatically
- Delete events — if you cancel a meeting in Mora, the calendar event is removed
Calendar failures never block meeting operations in Mora. If the calendar sync fails for any reason (e.g., a permissions issue or network error), the meeting is still saved and you’ll see a warning to check your calendar manually.
Disconnecting Google Calendar
To disconnect, go to Settings → Calendar and click Disconnect Google. This removes Mora’s access to your calendar. Future meetings won’t sync, but past meetings and their calendar events are not affected.
Using a different calendar system
If you use Outlook, Apple Calendar, or another calendar system, you can share meetings via the iCal feed instead. See iCal feed for how to set that up.
Troubleshooting
Events aren’t appearing on my calendar. Check that your Google account is still connected under Settings → Calendar. If the connection expired, you may need to reconnect.
I connected the wrong Google account. Disconnect from Settings → Calendar and reconnect with the correct account.
