Connecting Slack
Mora can send you Slack notifications when key things happen — a meeting is scheduled, you’re 30 minutes out from a 1:1, or a direct report submits their prep questionnaire. Notifications go only to you, not a shared channel.
The integration uses a Slack Incoming Webhook, which you create in your Slack workspace settings and paste into Mora.
Setting up the webhook
- Go to api.slack.com/apps and create a new app, or open an existing one
- Under Features, choose Incoming Webhooks and activate them
- Click Add New Webhook to Workspace
- When Slack asks where to post, choose Direct messages → [your name] to keep notifications private
- Copy the webhook URL — it starts with
https://hooks.slack.com/services/…
Connecting in Mora
- Go to Settings → Integrations
- Open the Slack section and paste your webhook URL
- Click Save
Once connected, use the Send test button to confirm it’s working. Mora will post a confirmation message to your Slack DM.
What triggers a notification
| Event | Message |
|---|---|
| 1:1 scheduled | Date and time of the meeting |
| 30 minutes before a meeting | Reminder that your 1:1 is starting soon |
| Direct report submits prep | Name and which meeting it’s for |
Disconnecting
To remove the integration, open Settings → Integrations, find the Slack section, and click Disconnect.
