Connecting Slack

Mora can send you Slack notifications when key things happen — a meeting is scheduled, you’re 30 minutes out from a 1:1, or a direct report submits their prep questionnaire. Notifications go only to you, not a shared channel.

The integration uses a Slack Incoming Webhook, which you create in your Slack workspace settings and paste into Mora.

Setting up the webhook

  1. Go to api.slack.com/apps and create a new app, or open an existing one
  2. Under Features, choose Incoming Webhooks and activate them
  3. Click Add New Webhook to Workspace
  4. When Slack asks where to post, choose Direct messages → [your name] to keep notifications private
  5. Copy the webhook URL — it starts with https://hooks.slack.com/services/…

Connecting in Mora

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations
  2. Open the Slack section and paste your webhook URL
  3. Click Save

Once connected, use the Send test button to confirm it’s working. Mora will post a confirmation message to your Slack DM.

What triggers a notification

30 minutes before a meetingReminder that your 1:1 is starting soon

Disconnecting

To remove the integration, open Settings → Integrations, find the Slack section, and click Disconnect.
